This par 72 course opened for play in 1999 and is located in Phoenix's West Valley.Designed by Forrest Richardson, the course boasts elevated tees, deep swales and cascading fairways, and measures 6,763 yards form the back tees. There are four sets of tees to accommodate a variety of handicaps. The course is surrounded by several dry washes, two lakes, and has views of the local mountains.

Great Round, Feb 02, 2005

This is a very nice little course, not to long not to short. Although it is not the easiest course I have played it does (in most cases) allow you the opprotunity to recover when in trouble due to an errant shot. If I had any complaints about the course it would br that the greens were a little slow. However I played the course after many days of rain. Overall I really enjoyed the course and for the money would Highly recommend.

Ferncroft Country Club - Championship Course

I've placed hundreds of courses in this country and Ferncroft for a resort club is one of the better places to play! For a private resort the cost of greens fees are perhaps a bit expensive, but you have to willling to pay to play one of the better well run courses in the area! The Bent grass on the fairways and greens are always well maintained. The layout is challenging for a course of just over 6,600 yards from the tips. They've just rebuilt the 3rd Green and 4th Tee. From time to time depending on the season they may have some standing water issues. From what I've been told by the Director of Golf they are taking care of this in the near future with a new irrigation system.

For a 3-Par, greens and fairways are well maintained despite the quantity of play. Surprising number of amenties such as; large putting green, practice sand and chipping areas. Great driving range adjacent to a full restaurant and bar. Friendly with no local attitude.
