This short course is deceiving because shot accuracy is vital. Several rolling hills will cause uneven lies, creating difficult approach shots. In addition, water hazards come into play on holes #6 and #9. There is an additional set of men's tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

A Unique Course, Feb 07, 2007

Valley Vista is a great place to shoot a round of golf! It is probably one of the most unique courses I've played, located on top of a hill in backwoods America (i.e. Bainbridge, OH). I would definitely recommend springing for a cart, because unless you're in supreme shape, you'll be winded after the first couple of holes (very hilly). The course itself is not all that well manicured (especially the back 9, as they were only opened recently), but each year I go back it seems to be getting better and better. Valley Vista is a great trip to make if you just want to relax outside and play a little golf. I don't ever recall being rushed, the senery is absolutely amazing, and the price is a bargin. I would definitely recommend anyone within the Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus triangle to come check it out.

Lakes at El Segundo, The

The Lakes at El Segundo is a beutiful course with some stunning par 3s. The couse is made up of moslty short par 3s and a couple short par 4s. The holes are all very short and beautifully kept. This couse can be played by both beginners and eperts alike. The downsides are that the course is crowded, so expect to wait on the tees. I recomend reservations several days in advance. The other downside is that your day is over after only nine holes. The practice facility is excellent and Tiger Woods, who has a home in nearby Redondo Beach can often be seen playing there. It has an awesome driving range and a huge putting and chipping green. If your just out to get some practice in, or a quick nine holes, this is the place.

"Golf at a value"
Occ. golf course is a nice course if you are looking for value in a round of golf. The course is always in good condition, the staff is pleasant and the course is enjoyable, yet not easy, if you play it from the blue tees. The course is adequately and accurately marked with yardage to the greens. The front and back nine are very different and thus give some variety to the round. It is no Pinehurst, but those that play there love their golf and know proper golf etiquette. It is a real value for the dollar.
