This course has a creek that comes into play on seven holes. The course is difficult because of the large amount of water hazards, mounds, and sand bunkers incorporated into its design. Bob Lohmann redesigned the course in 1987. There is an additional set of men's tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

Nice layout, plenty long, plenty of water, plenty of sand and well maintained. Good course for a quick nine, although you can play 18.

This 9 hole municipal course is average. On any given day you will find that a simple 9 will take anywhere from 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 hrs to complete. For Ballwin residents the price is right (8$. For non-Ballwin residents it's a little steep (14$+5$ for cart). The greens are bent with fescue rough and great care is taken that the greens are in good shape, despite hackers and beginners rarely repairing ball marks. Pretty wide layout with a couple parallel holes lined with homes and a creek that runs through a few also with a pretty par 3 9th over a small pond. Try to get there early, but don't count on being the first out. The mayor of Ballwin plays daily, albeit at a quick pace, and the slot is generally reserved for him and his prosecuting attys. The staff is generally rude with the exception of the pro David and marshall/pro shop worker Joe. 1-1/2 stars.
