This is a great twelve hole course for beginner's because the fairways are wide open and the large greens are medium speed. There are no water hazards in play, but there are a few sand bunkers.

A great experience, Sep 14, 2010 |

| We wanted to get in 9 quick holes before heading to the airport. Everyone here was very friendly and helpful. The course was pretty empty, although we were following a guy playing multiple balls. Still, the course was in good shape, was a little challenging, and the price was right! The gal at the clubhouse took our picture for my scrapbook and made sure we knew how to get to the airport. I'd play there again! |

Unfriendly and unfair staff, Jul 10, 2007 |

| This experience was awful. The people who work at this golf course are not friendly. It started with us being bumped from our tee time and went on basically to be harrassed from hole to hole. The course was backed up. I know we aren't the best, but we couldn't have moved ahead because people were on the next tee and they were waiting for people ahead on them. None of this mattered. Also, be weary people living in the back of the course in the bushes. |

Course Not for Everyone, Jul 08, 2007 |

| The course seemed okay considering in the middle of Baltimore. The staff was not overly friendly or helpful. They let others play ahead of our reserved tee time, and the marshall harrassed us. We were not any slower than the group we allowed to play through, and there was a wait to tee off at every hole. Not a place for new players, although I didn't see any pros around us. Nor did I see other women. So ladies think twice about this course. |

Not a course for a beginner!, Jul 07, 2007 |

| Greens are well kept and location is excellent. Golf course is challenging. Golfers and staff state this is a beginners golf course. Unfortunately, this place is not in terms of containing patient golfers and staff. So if you are beginner, do not go here! It is probably better for you and for the golfers at Carroll Park that you go elsewhere. |

Carroll Park good for beginners? Not really., Jul 07, 2007 |

| We found the course to be very nice, with clean, well kept greens. Aside from the vagrant lurking around holes 8-9 it is a nice course. Unfortunately the treatment we felt we received couldnt have been so nice. We are beginners, but we were keeping pace with the group in front of us. On several occasions we were hurried through a hole only to wait to tee off on the next. Most frustrating was the last hole, where we were all on the putting green, most players one putt away from completing the game. We were asked by the range marshall to mark our balls and move away so that the group behind us could tee off. We decided not to complete our game and left. |

good after work play, Sep 01, 2005 |

| I have found that Carroll Park is a perfect course to swing by on my way home from work and get in 10 holes before dark. The course is priced right but the course has many a beginner and there is often balls flying at you with no warning so heads up. Also, the urban setting sometimes lends itself to the passing through of less then desireables. All in all a great, cheap, way to help you game and not lose a weekend day to do it. |
