This course was built on gently rolling terrain and features streams, ponds, and grass mounds coming into play on several holes. The greens are being renovated throughout this tight course. The signature hole is #11, a 428-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a dogleg left fairway, then an approach shot to a green that is well protected by trees and sand bunkers. The club hosted the T. C. Jordan Tournament Classic in 1991 and 1992. For tee times call (800) 951-4653.

The Highlight of my summer, Jul 23, 2005
reviewer: Fore from Chattanooga, TN
The past few years my golfing buddies and I all look forward to our trip to Baneberry. Sure the lodging isn't the Waldorf but I'm not going there to sit in the room all day. My buddies and I are high handicappers and this course is tough but also very fun for all of us. We love it. The people are great and the play moves fast. You simply cannot beat the price! Once again, if you are looking for Augusta National, this isn't it. If you are looking for a great week with friends and a tough little course to play you can't beat it! We have traveled all over the southeast playing at "resorts" and Baneberry has become our favorite by far.

overpriced lodging, Jul 22, 2004
reviewer: Anonymous from tennessee
the lodging here was overpriced for no more ammenities than it had to offer. golf package really is not great considering you still have to pay for golf cart every 18 holes played. green fees and cart rental fees are well within reason if you are not staying at resort. resort is overrated and the cost per person rate is high for the quality of the lodging. persons not playing golf are charged same per person rate as someone playing. would not recommend golf packages. if interested in playing at banberry, you be better off staying at other offsite hotels. course is okay, but not one of my favorites. would not stay in resort if i were to play this course again. not worth the money charged.

Baneberry, Apr 08, 2004

I had heard good things about this course, until I went there to see for myself. The greens are average and the fairways are sloppy and in bad shape. That is nothing compared to the rudeness of the people there, workers and golfers alike. If you want southern hospitality, you have come to the wrong place.
