White Birch Golf Course - Eighteen Course

Rural Route 1
Barnesville, PA 18214
Phone: (570)467-2525Fax: (570)467-3735

This course offers both an eighteen hole course and a nine hole course. Even though the Eighteen Hole Course was built on flat terrain, there are water hazards coming into play on a number of holes, and the large trees and sand bunkers can affect your shots. The fairways are narrow because the course is heavily wooded. The signature hole is #18, a 356-yard, par 4, requiring a long tee shot over water to the fairway. Some of the tees are elevated. The Executive Course doesn't have any water hazards, but shot placement is still important. The green fees shown for the Executive Course are good for two nine hole rounds, but do not include a cart.

GOOD COURSE BAD SERVICE, May 23, 2007

FOR THE MAJORITY THIS IS A FUN WIDE OPEN EASY COURSE. ON THE SITE IT SAYS WATER COMES INTO PLAY, BUT IT NEVER DOES. THE ONLY GRIPE I HAVE IS THE TWO VERY OBESE WOMEN WHO SEEM TO RUN THE MAJORITY OF THE OPERATIONS. THEY ARE IGNORANT AND SEEM TO BE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THEMSELVES AND WHERE THIER NEXT MEAL IS COMING FROM THAN FOR THE CUSTOMERS AT THE COURSE. HOWEVER THE REST OF THE STAFF IS EXCELLENT.

Coming from the Boston area, I play some very nice courses. This is a very nice tract demanding enough for a ten handicapper and forgiving enough for a new golfer. Since this was my first visit to the course, I always pay close attention to the staff and the way they treat the "people". They ALL were courteous and very helpful. My two Brothers and I had a very enjoyable time. Our wives drove the golf carts which made it even more fun. If your looking for a fun course to play that's run by a fantastic staff, this is definitely the place to go.

This is a very beautiful golf course wich could be walked easily (no rocky terrain). A helpful and courteous staff make it a pleasure to go.There are a few greens with some hard breaks but most are flat and easy to read. Fairways and greens are excellently maintained. reasonably priced for the golfer with a day job.
