This course features narrow, tree-lined fairways and rolling terrain. The signature hole is #18, a 546-yard, par 5, requiring an approach shot to a green surrounded by water. This club has hosted both the Assistant Pro Tournament and The Ladies Amateur Tournament. William H. Diddel first redesigned the existing nine holes in 1933, followed by Michael Hurdzan and Jack Kidwell in 1984. Hurdzan then added nine new holes in 1989.

A tough course that requires perfectly places tea shots. Very nicelmey maintained greens and fairways. Whatever you do, don't attempt to walk the back 9 with all the rolling hills!! I would definitely play again.

"The Best Pound for Pound"
The dunes is possibly the best course for the money in the entire state! I give the course five stars due to its all around duffer enjoyment. The course itself allows for not just a fun but also a challenging round. The beauty of such a course in such a desolate location is unbelievable, as is the staff. Lake Chabot Municipal Golf Course - Short Course
"Great views/not so great greens"
This is a great little par 3 course with some awesome views of the bay at an elevated tee (4th hole) The greens are covered with clover and are very fast. This is the best par 3 course I've played (only played a few) especially costing only $8.

Silver Spring Country Club
"Silver Spoon"
I have played a total of 4 rounds as a guest at Silver Spring. This classic and traditional course is well-maintained with speedy greens that can have you on your knees in a hurry. Wonderful course to walk, even for those of us more inclined to ride. Beautiful woodland setting where deer seem to enjoy free range, even on the greens! (Hoof prints don't make for straight putts) Staff was courteous and friendly despite the blue blood atmosphere. Nice joint.
