This very challenging course features narrow, oak-lined fairways. Out-of-bounds stakes line every hole, and the greens are large. Water hazards come into play on about ten holes. One of the more difficult holes is #12, a 578-yard, par 5, which plays to a dogleg right fairway, with water crossing the fairway just past the turn and running down the remaining left side of the hole.

| The course was sold to a private developer who plans on turning the course into a subdivision. It is all overgrown and weeds now. |

| Shenandoah is where I learned to play, and it was great for that purpose. The fairways are somewhat narrow, but that kept me more focused on where to put the shot. The club is in the process of improving the course--drainage has been an issue--and it should reallly be nice in the spring. |
