This course's back nine is hilly and full of trees, while its front nine is equally hilly, but has less trees. There are ponds that come into play on three holes. Out-of-bounds areas come into play on eight holes. The wind is a factor on the front nine because there are less trees. The club doesn't open on Mondays until noon.

| A solid course throughout the year but aspecial tough in the summer when greens are hard. Riverside is ball strikers course short holes with wide fairways. The greens are the most important part of the course. Reading the break is always tough but remembering where the nearest location of water like the kalamazoo river plays a big role. A course designed to give a challange to all players with still having a great time playing it. |

| When you play this course be prepared to have a hilly lie on most fairway shots, especially on the back nine. The undulation is remarkable and this course gives an average player a run for his/her money. Mid summer the greens can be unforgiving, but still playable with corect club selection. Altogether a course well manicured and the added bonus of having a complete opposite feeling when playing the front nine and the second nine. |
