This scenic course overlooks the eastern Colorado River. There are water hazards that come into play on some holes. Among the course features are the striking differences in the front and back nines. The front nine has few trees and the coastal winds pose a threat to accurate shots. The back nine has a lot of trees that block the wind.

| Deceptively simple but definitely challenging with roughs guarded with medium grass and rolling mounds. Tee boxes well laid out with mostly mounded greens with deceptive breaks but I played most of the front 9 in light rain so partly could be contributed to moisture. Grass is excellent in the fairways and the ball sits up well. Greens well tended and hold high shots well. Sand traps reward good shots and can severely penalize wayward shots. Kinda reminds one of a kind links course when out of the fairways but definitely a first rate course I would love to play often! Crows and other wildlife numerous enough to make play relaxing as is the water hazards and river which doesn't come into play. Definitely will play this course every chance I get. Gary Player gets my nod for this bit of art. |

| Gary Player design company did a fine job with this golf course, from beginner to pro this course has plenty to offer, watch out when the wind is up, with five par fives and many good risk reward holes this course can offer a lot of birdies, but lookout for the par threes, they are tougher than they look. Scenic Colorado river views on the back side, great bird watching, eagles, hawks, etc, also a gator or two or three. |
