The Greens Are In Bad Shape, Apr 16, 2008
reviewer: Anonymous from Anonymous
I have played at Beacon Woods many times over the past three years. It seems to be going downhill. It was in real good shape three years ago. The lack of maintenance is really noticeable on the greens. I think it's time for new management, or a new owner.

Great course, Aug 02, 2006
reviewer: Chris Mutz from New Port Richey, FL USA
This course is very open and long. Every inch of it is in great shape. Will definatley be going back very soon, as it is a public course now.

Not Bad but not Outstanding either..., Jun 24, 2004
reviewer: Steve in Florida from Anonymous
I was ready to join based on reviews from fellow golfers but after I played I just could'nt justify the expense. I have several course that are near or at the quality w/o the expense. Beacon Woods will become a public course to survive and the cost -vs- worth ratio will come in line to make it a great course. It is a great course to play and I recommend it if you have the chance but, find it hard to justify the cost of membership.

Better course now than 5 years ago, Mar 22, 2004
reviewer: James Mason from New York, New York
Course is in very good condition, weed are nearly extict from fairways now, greens are excellent. The course being an extension of the super intendact, he and maint. crew have done an excellent job. Course is very fortunate to have such a superintendant. Being a private club board directors should make all efforts to keep this superintedant as to make sure the course does not suffer. Draw back on club is it is run by laymen board of directors. Board may need to general manager to properly manage the course
