This hilly course was designed with the Scottish links courses in mind. The back nine is highlighted by dramatic waterfalls located near some holes. Water hazards come into play on eight of the nine holes on the back nine. The club hosted the Senior PGA Tour's Southwestern Bell Classic in 1994. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 6th "Best in State" course for 1995-96, and 9th best for 1997-98. The course is closed every Tuesday.

reviewer: A disgruntled member from Leawood, KS

The bent grass fairways have extensive dead patches on most holes. It is disappointing to hit a good drive in the fairway, only to find it laying on a patch of mud. Nutgrass and crabgrass grow freely on the tee boxes and around the greens. This course has gone dramtically downhill in the last two years.

An outstanding layout with pristine bent grass fairways, tees and greens. Loch Lloyd is the rare course that will challenge every aspect of your game - you'll hit every club in the bag. Great club!
