This facility offers two regulation eighteen hole courses. These are championship caliber courses with water hazards (several creeks and lakes) coming into play on numerous holes. The East Course is the shorter of the two and is heavily wooded. The greens are small and difficult to hit. Sand bunkers surround most of the greens, and the ponds come into play mainly on the back nine. The West Course is a bit longer and the greens are larger than the East Course. The signature hole is #11, a 600-yard, par 5, rated by local publications as being one of the top ten longest holes in the Chicago area. Dick Nugent and Ken Killian redesigned both courses in 1982. Nine hole green fees are only available during the weekdays, not on the weekends.

"South Georgia's best secret"
What a wonderful couse that plays well all year round. This couse will test all skill levels but is fair. With wide fairways but tough rough and a lot of trees if you miss the fairway. Fairly long most par 4 play between 380 to 410 yards. Water comes into play on 5 holes. Couse is in great shape and a 3 1/2 hour round is the norm!

"Classic Donald Ross"
This course is short in yardage (6200), but plays much longer. One reason is that there are only 2 par 5's on a par 70 track. The par 3's are classic Ross. 3 of the 4 can play over 190 yards to postage stamp greens. There are a lot of down and up style par 4's, but there is also variety. Holes 10,11 and 18 are good examples of tough, well thought out par 4's that demand accuracy and thought. A four is an excellent score on all of these holes. The course is generally in excellent condition and has undergone some minor renovations. You will notice that the greens are exceptionally small, even for a Ross course. Greens are properly protected with bunkers and have just the right amount of undulation. One designer has stated that these are the smallest greens he has ever seen on a Ross course (which may be its claim of distinction among the many Ross courses). There is a premium on iron play and short game. Greens are quick, but not penal. Everyone thinks they can bring this course to its knees, but it usually is the other way around. The course can frustrate you if you expect too much too easily. This is what makes it such a wonderful place to experience the brilliance of Donald Ross. Where is the water? it is only on one hole, and it is not in play. You could hit a 9 iron over it. Short, but tight track. well kept, with a few good holes. only a couple stupid holes.
