This course has many hills that can cause uneven lies and trees that can affect your shots. One stream comes into play on a couple of holes, including #16, a 206-yard, par 3, which calls for a tee shot over the stream. The Bay Regional Golf Tournament is held on this course every year. There is a separate green fee rate for Friday's.

| I have been playing Tilden Park for several years. There have been some good changes with drainage so the course is more playable in the winter. The biggest negative is the time it takes to play a round. 5 to 5 1/2 hour rounds are not uncommon, which tends to affect one's tempo of play. |

a hilly challenge, Aug 31, 2005 |

| I think that it is an absolutely beautiful course, and is fairly challenging. Course knowledge is huge because of the course being so hilly. You have to be a mountain goat to walk the bloody thing. There are very few scoring oppritunities on this course and a lot of par 3's make you feel like your going for a par 5 in 2. There is a lot of fog there on most mornings, so I think that is the most beautiful time to play because it feels liike your in monterey(the greatest place in the world)! |

Should Have Brought My Slicker & Kneehigh Boots With SPIKES!, Mar 27, 2005 |

| Is this course ever DRY! A miserable experience and leave it to American Golf to make it one of the worst golf experiences ever! It was a sprinkle here and a sprinkle there when we left the 1st hole, but by the 11th whole it was getting dangerously worse. At the turn, the Snack Bar was closed and we were extremely hungry, so we ran to the car for some leftovers from our trip to McDonalds'! The recent rains have devastated the safety conditions of the entire course. We were slipping at every possible opportunity, and it's a golf course "looking" for a serious lawsuit. Taking a step in the 8" mud can be very dangerous, especially when you lift your foot out of the mud and your shoe becomes seperated from your foot and it remains stuck in the mud. Very sloshy conditions, and I would have to question why American Golf would allow golfers to go out and play in these conditions! (It's probably all about the $$$$$!). Did I mention that we were covered with MUD! This course is LAST on my list for coming back! I would only recommend this course to MY MOTHER-IN-LAW!!! If I could give 0 STARS, I would have! |

A fun round with challenges, Apr 16, 2004 |

| This course is an up and down rollercoaster. The course has many interesting challenges in a beautiful setting. Not a course for the longer hitter to gain a huge advantage as accuracy is more important. The first hole is a killer - 400 yeards up hill - take a bogey and feel grateful. The best hole is probably the 8th a long dogleg par 5 with challenging bunkers and a tough green. The back 9 plays shorter and easier (after the beer kicks in). You'll have fun out there. |
