| On vacation from Florida and visiting Mom in Farmerville. My Brother, from San Jose, Ca., just took up the game and wanted to play while visiting also. Our nephew lives in Farmerville and had played Meadow Lake frequently so we three headed there to play on a Monday. When we arrived no one was in the clubhouse but a maintenance man told us to grab a cart and put the money in a envelope and drop in a box on the wall by the entrance. Kind of liked that! The fairways were in decent shape, being cut as we tee'd off. Greens were smallish but in good shape, well maintained. Quite a few trees line the fairways and close to them the ground is bare but hit it in the fairway and you are good to go. Teeboxes were ok, the tee markers needed to be moved on some but the tee's are very small anyway. Some of the par 5's are too short to be 5's. I reached one with drive and 6 iron and I am not a long hitter by any means. Overall the best value for that area. Would recommend this course to everyone who wants to play and not spend a fortune. Bring your own soda's cause the coke machine eats your money! |
