This course has small and fast greens. The fairways were built on rolling terrain, and water hazards come into play on six holes. The signature hole is #15, a 163-yard, par 3, requiring a downhill tee shot from off an elevated tee to an elevated green with picturesque trees surrounding the hole.

Beware of geese, Mar 28, 2004 |
| reviewer: Frank Walker

| I agree with David Lynch. This course could be gem. Even though the season hasn't started yet, the geese are back in full force. There are goose droppings everywhere. The seventh hole is dangerous because the geese hang out there and they are not afraid of the golfers. Be careful of the piles of goose dropings. I think you should have a free drop if your ball lands on a one. Or if you have to stand in goose droppings to strike the ball. Let's hope they wise up and chase the honkers away. |

Declining conditions, Feb 08, 2004 |
| reviewer: David Lynch
from Danvers, MA |
| Having played this course over the last ten years, I can't help but be dismayed by the declining conditions. It is a classic course that was consistently enjoyable until the last two years. In this time, the course condition, length of rounds and restaurant amenities have all gone downhill. I hope that they can turn this around because it is no longer worth the greens fee that they charge. |
