Good greens, short holes, tight course., May 19, 2009 |

| If you can keep that 3 and 5 wood right down the pipe, this is your dream course, but anyone going out to enjoy the "i'm off work today, I think I'll play" round of golf- you'd better hit the range first and remedy that slice, or hook.My suggestion, if you dont have the accuracy, is to drive less than an hour down the road and play at Cedar Hill CC in jonesville, Va. But- if you want a challenge, go for these narrow fairways. The greens are well maintained, and it's a good setting for the course. It's really not expensive, so if you're just looking to go out and knock it around, without making it some big to-do, it's not a bad course whatsoever. |

| This golf course is the best place ever, and i make my best scores here. It is the best course in south west virginia, plus it has the best maintained greens and fairways. |

Lonsome Pine Review, Apr 15, 2008 |

| I have played LPCC only a handfull of times, but one only needs to play it once to have a lasting impression of the course. It makes up its lack of yardage with small sloping greens and unforgiving rough. The only thing that I don't like about the course is the internal out of bounds on several holes. If ever given the chance to play this course, do not pass it up. It proves both challenging and fun for all skill levels. It has several drivable par 4's and testing par three's. Overall, a wonderful golf course. |

mountain side curiosity, Apr 15, 2004 |

| A course carved out of the impossible--a steep mountainside locale. Delightfully sharp changes of elevation on many holes, either high tee boxes or elevated greens. The tight little bentgrass greens can be challenging. 1st is typical: short but very uphill to a small, two-tier green. Few birdie it. 8th rises to a steeply elevated green, easy to under/overshoot. Course looks easy, plays fair and very sporty. |

| This is a short course but will kick your butt if you get cocky. Greens are always pretty nice and quick - several a bit smaller than average. It's designer had lots of fund cutting holes and tee boxes out of the mountains. Several picture holes, namely number two where you start about 100 yards ABOVE the hole which plays a par 5 but is easily reachable in two. There's another nasty par 5 on the back nine that only plays about 400 yards but the fairway is as narrow as a keyhole and has a dogleg left which requires a precision iron shot then an approach to an uphill green. It's tough to get on this green in three. Clubhouse is cool. People are great. Good deal if you know a member and can get on. |
