Although some of this course plays through tall pines, much of the course is very open. There are small, sloping greens that are generally open in front, allowing run-up shots that, in fact, become necessary as the fairways firm up in the summer. Although there are flat lies on every hole, only a well-planned and executed shot can avoid the downhill, uphill or sidehill lies that influence the play on every hole. There are water hazards coming into play on three holes.

| this 9 hole course is one of the toughest in berks county. ive been playing it for several years now and it is becoming quite a nice course. the layout is difficult and one bad shot can lead to a double or even triple bogey for even the most experienced golfers. If you want a challenge, this is the course for you. |
