Don't hit the ball too far out of bounds or you'll have to take a ski lift to the on-site ski resort to retrieve it. "Golf Digest" selected this course 8th on its list of "Best New Upscale Public Courses" for 1998.

The most beautiful golf course i've ever golfed. In the fall when the trees are turning color is when we golfed, and hole seventeen has to rank up there with the best anywhere.

The Legends is an absolutely stunning course built into the Minnesota birch and pine forests. Huge bunkers with very fine sand create a challenge for all players. The third hole features the signature bunker, a giant's footprint! Although the course is built into the forests, the fairways are generous. The greens run very true and are usually very well maintained. Don't even consider walking the course as there are huge rides between holes on the back nine. The seventeenth hole is a gorgeous par three over water that is probably Minnesota's most picturesque. The Quarry sister course is also very nice and will continue to improve after only one year of operation.

Absolutely the best public golf course within 100 miles of St. Louis. Seems like your playing well (Haven't lost a ball, no penalty stokes) then you add em up and you're half a dozen worse than usual. Great views, no waits.

This course is in the middle of the upper peninsula of Michigan. It is simply the best course I ever played for the money. Quick and true greens were very well maintained (How did they attract such a talented Superintendent). Very challenging holes that do not duplicate themselves. Laid back atmosphere--no pressures!

Sleepy Hollow Country Club - Eighteen Hole Course

As a Brit abroad, I was lucky enough to receive a couple of invitations to play here. The whole experience was outstanding, from the service at the club to the course itself. The clubhouse is one of the more impressive around (probably only improved upon by my home course in the UK!). The track itself was in excellent condition and, as with other Tillinghast courses, was a good strategic challenge, although not as 'man-sized' as say Winged Foot West and Bethpage Black. More playable for someone of my ability and therefore perhaps as enjoyable.
