The front nine is narrow with a few long par 4's, and the back nine is more open and easier. Water comes into play on nine holes, and most of the greens on the front nine are well-bunkered. Hole #7, a 153-yard, par 3, requires a tee shot that must carry over a small lake onto a green protected by sand bunkers on the front and back sides. The club plays host to the State boy's golf championship. "Golf Digest" rated this course 6th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. The ladies' par is actually 78.

| We always hated to travel to Blackfoot and play this course when we were on High School golf teams. It has a real lush look when it's late spring, but this course is a nasty little train wreck when the wind is blowing from the typical westerly direction. Don't let the 70 rating from the blue tees fools you. Easy to shoot 90 on this course |
