This resort was name to "GOLF Magazine's" 1996 list of "Silver Medal Resorts." In addition, it has been recognized by the Audubon Society for maintaining its abundance of wildlife in harmony with the layout of the course. This heavily-wooded design has relatively large, contoured greens and plenty of sand bunkers. Hole #11, a 371-yard, par 4, was voted one of "The Best 18 Holes You Can Play" by "Golf Digest" in 1997. This hole features a fingery bunker between the fairway and the lake on the right. And with a cove of the lake eating into the fairway on the right before the green, there's little to be gained by cutting across the corner on this hole. "Golf Digest" named the course the "Best New Resort Course" for 1987, the 4th "Best in State" course in 1996-96, and 7th in 1997-98. The same publication named it the #1 "Resort Golf Course in the State of Washington" for 1996. In addition "Golf Digest" chose it 69th out of the "Top 75 Upscale Courses in 1996, and 18th best in the category of "Top 75 Resort Courses" in 1992. Tee times for weekends are reserved the Friday before. The 6,435-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 74.7 and a slope of 128.

| Beautiful course in woodsy setting, but nothing spectacular about it. Nice clubhouse. Golf carts have a tendency to break down. Friendly staff. Course can be very wet. Play it once. You probably will find that will be enough. |
