This course has water hazards and numerous trees incorporated into its design. The signature hole is #9, a 234-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over two deep quarries to the green. White sand was added to the bunkers in the mid-1990's and mounding was added to the entire course.

This was a fun little course. Nothing too complex, and it wasn't the most well-kempt course i have played nor was it the worst. It was a great hole for the 15 bucks it cost. Green and full of forrest and some nice water holes. Play it, it is fun.

North Shore Country Club
"Great Bay Side Holes, and Tough"
Play this in the wind and you'll find your handicap is a little too low. Northshore is a wonderful course with great bay views on the 4 bayside holes. And Don't miss the gator on hole 12, the cormorants on number 3, or all the other birds during the migratory months. In winter the rye overseed makes Northshore one of the best courses in all of South Texas.

"Great Track, Hard yet rewarding"
Played this course over the last week, this track is one not to miss. Clasic Joe Lee Design, lots of bunkers and water. This is a thinking man's course. Don't be disappointed is this track play's longer then whats on the card. It does. Play this one and you'll be back again and again.

Wonderfull! - Grew up there, right next door - on Merrivale drive. (6, Merrivale drive to be exact!) - used to play army there! ( when I was a young soldier, - back in the '60s.) Well, I don't know about golf, but living next door to that BEAUTIFUL golfcourse was a memory I'll cherish forever!
