Gem in the desert, Dec 16, 2010 |
| reviewer: Surprised in Blythe, who knew?

| I rate Blythe golf course as a 4 due to the fact it is tucked away in blythe of all places and it is the nicest thing about this city. Many of you would be surprised to see the layout and difficulty in this course. New management has taken over and improved this gem in the desert. Doglegs, water and sand with treelined fairways that can make a good shot turn bad quicky. This course even has a dogleg right uphill to a hidden green on number 8. On the back nine 17 is a beauty , a long dogleg left par five with a wonderful view and a hill laden fairway. 16 forces players of every level to make tough decisions from the tee, whether to lay up before the lake or try to drive along the left side of the lake with minimal landing area. It will make you play every shot in the bag. For the golf course alone i would rate it a 5, but it IS in Blythe, so it gets my 4 star rating due to location choice, lol |
