This mountainous area has three different nine hole courses that can be played in three eighteen hole combinations. All of the fairways are tree lined, and water hazards come into play on several holes. The fast greens are extremely undulating and difficult to read. The signature hole is #3 on the Black/Garnet Course, a 451-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot off the highest point on the course. The dogleg right fairway features a left-side sand bunker with a claw, similar to the emblem representing the University of South Carolina. If your ball lands in the claw, you receive a free drop.

after many years of play and transfering of owners this course seems to finally be coming into its own....quick greens, challenging second shots, and forgiveness at times. Great course....clubhouse could use some more facilities, but all in all a fun time.

"1 goofy hole"
I like this golf course, but 1 hole make it less than stellar. Number 12 is a ridiculous 90 degree dogleg that takes away from the rest of the course. Speed of play has been exceptional every time I have played, but that 1 idiotic hole ruins ithe backside. I suggest moving up the box and making it a par 3 or redoing it altogether.
