This course's front nine is links-style and the back nine is more of a traditional, tree-lined layout. The greens are undulating and fast. Fairway play throughout is generally forgiving. Trees, however, do come into play on the second half of the course. The signature hole is #11, a long 202-yard, downhill par 3. Strategy dictates staying away from out-of-bounds to the right and bunkers on the left.

While i was at the state tournament it was in great shape and the greens were very slick. The wind was tough and hole 7 was very tough to reach in two. It is in the middle of nowhere and there is this wierd guy whos signs you have to read. Great Golf Course

Worth the drive, Jun 09, 2005

I travel to Springfield twice a year from Nashville TN, once in the late fall early winter, once during the summer to visit the in-laws. I now look forward to the trip because of Silo Ridge Golf & County Club. This hidden jewel is very well maintained, and will challenge the scratch golfer and entice the 20+ handy capper. The opening nine is very forgiving; allowing amble time to hone your skills for the more demanding inward nine. Once your score card is full, then I recommend trying out the best cheese burger and fries I have every tasted in the club house grill. The course and the staff are first rate; well worth the price and the drive.

Silo Ridge is a new coure on the eastern edge of Bolivar. It's design is unique. Silo offers a great and fun challenge to all classes of golfers. At times the winds in Southwest Missouri can kick up to 30-40 miles per hour in Spring and Fall with a building ridge of high pressure and Silo will give you all you can handle when there is wind present. Great folks work the course and pro shop and you will not find a nicer place to play.
