This eighteen hole course is considered by locals as very player friendly because the fairways are open. Young palm trees populate the course, however, they have not matured. Overall, the course is flat and forgiving, yet there is a lot of undulation on the greens. There are currently members and plans are in the works to become a private course. The 5,260-yard ladies' tee also has a men's course rating of 65.7 and slope of 108.

Northeast Harbor Golf Club
"Seasonal member"
NEHGC is on the pleasant island of Mt.Desert in Downeast Maine. I live in Seal Harbor 6 mos. a yr and join the club as a seasonal member. The play is $255 and excludes June 26 thru Sept 6. It is by far the best deal on MDI and throughout the downeast region. The course is never crowded, and you can expect the service in the pro shop to be excellent. Beautifully maintained greens and fairways with the backdrop of surrounding mtns. and countryside make this course a well kept secret on busy MDI. Make a tee time after Sept. 30 to enjoy incredible foliage and ideal temperatures.

"Outstanding!!!"
Only reason that it isn't 5 stars is cuz it's only 9 holes. Some of the best greens in the inland northwest. You will not always get a flat lie, but you will get a good lie because of excellent maintenance. # 4 is toughest short par3 around cuz of left to right sloping green. Get your birdies early or late cuz holes 3-6 are plenty for most.

"Ok for begginers"
This course ok for begginers but it is very short, they have a good grounds crew and always looks nice.

"Excellent course"
Out of all the courses in Albany, this has the best layout. It has a great layout and excellent staff. The golf carts are equipped with GPS for clubbing. Definately worth the time and money to play a round of golf here.
