Great walk, fun for the kids, affordable., Apr 17, 2006
reviewer: Mike from Bakersfield, CA
Plays 18 pretty fast, even with kids. Bumpy fairways, fun shots over water, and Billy-goat hills make for an exuberant walk; you may use every club in your bag on the front 9. The back nine is almost a pitch and put course requiring lazer short irons to greens or you'll be left with challenging pitch shots. 17th fun strategy hole if you can't cover the 180 yards or so to carry the river. Finishes with a par 3, bet lunch on closest to hole. Monday morning rates used to be discounted.

I like the front nine, but the back nine is bizarre, Aug 18, 2005
reviewer: Steve Cobb from Woodinville
Wayne is a convenient low-key in-town course where you can usually play on short notice Monday to Thursday. It's a good place for a casual round with your working class buddies. The front nine is a nice test. The par 3s are all good holes, two are long and the third is from elevation. The par 4s are short but the river and/or OB is in play on all of them, and the terrain and obstacles are varied. The par 5 is really a long par 4, but it's great fun since you often get a realistic chance at eagle. The back 9 is very short and very bizarre. #12 and #17 are stategically interesting in that there are two ways to play them. Otherwise, there's not much to recommend. Personally, I usually skip the back.

Good course for beginners, Jul 06, 2005
reviewer: Mike from Edmonds
Pretty little course with some interesting quirks. Front nine plays like a fairly normal course with wide open fairways and smallish, flat greens; back nine plays like a hybrid between executive course and rural regulation course. Lots of opportunities to lose balls, and the course can be very crowded to the point of being dangerous, as some fairways are mingled. Good place for those just picking up the game.
