This resort offers two fine eighteen hole courses. Both courses are very scenic and home to an abundance of wildlife. The most challenging course is the Monument Course. There are holes on this course that are dedicated to professional golfers such as Sam Snead, Jim Flick, and others. The narrow fairways are tree lined, and numerous water hazards come into play on many holes. This course features the Yardmark System. A display panel in the golf cart tells the player distances to the greens, how far to carry a hazard, and how far to hit a tee shot. The Alpine Course features fast greens that are often tricky to read. In addition, the plush fairways are tree lined, so shot accuracy off the tees is essential. A spectacular view of Deer Lake can be seen from off this course. "Golf for Women" rated this as the 6th best of "America's best 'women-friendly' courses." I loved this course and it was in great shape. I played it on Sept 20 2011. Boyne Mountain Resort is a fabulous destination for golfers. I had a very special time there playing with my son for 2 days, the service was great.

Indian Springs Golf Club
"Indian Springs - Hidden Jewel"
This course is in a rural setting, with many farms around. Getting to it is a challenge, but once there, some pleasurable hours will be had. The course was well maintained, with good fairways and well manicured greens. There is almost an "upper level" and "lower level" for play and the elevation changes pretty dramatically for middle Illinois. There are plenty of water hazards, woods and places to make shots, so the course may be tough for new players. For shotmakers, it is a great skill test. The signature hole offers a scenic tee, overlooking two water hazards, gazing out into a woods and just barely able to see the dogleg right hole. Anything too far out or left or right goes out of play, and bunkers guard the green on the approach. The clubhouse has the essentials for refreshments, the price is moderate and the staff are friendly. I would recommend this course to anyone for an enjoyable outing and challenge.

"HomeTown corse"
The corse is not hard at all but a fun getaway for a sunny afternoon when you have nothin else to do besides play the best sport on earth, and wanna kick back a relax on our nice moderate speed golf carts. Its fun and has a few challenging holes so give it a try. Got to give it three stars cuz its my home course.
