This club has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. The Red and White courses are championship length with wide fairways and a variety of hazards including four water hazards. The Blue Course is an executive par 30 course with five water hazards that come into play.

Fast Greens, Nice Fairways, Friendly Staff..., Jan 01, 2005

The first time I played this course, I was amazed at its condition for a municipal course. The fairways can narrow on certain holes, making this course less grip it and rip it. Water comes into play in an almost deceiptful way, after a few rounds, you'll know what I mean. My favorite feature is the pace of play. The rangers are respectful to all parties. The are not afraid to ask you to pick up the pace, just as they are not shy about commending you on it. Dollar for dollar, I cant think of a better place to play.

Lufkin Country Club

This course is a very well kept secret in the old part of Lufkin, Texas. Not your upper tier type course but cheap for the quality. Fairways are very plush with just a very few spots that need work. And the greens, oh wow, possibly the best greens in the Lufkin-Nacogdoches area (including Crown Colony). It has the very challenging holes that you need to play cautious golf, and then it has the type of holes that you can attack with everything you have. When you finish this course, you will definately want to come back for more.

This course is probably one of the nicest ones I've ever played! - I MEAN IT!!! The greens were very well kept, the clubhouse was delightful, and my wife loved your fairways! I played here, once,-back in the 60's, but it was quite different then. (To be honest it looks allot smaller, and I don't remember there being any Homes so near the course?) We WILL be back, this summer!
