I was fortunate to find the MCGC while visiting relatives in the Sarasota Area. I wasn't able to bring my clubs, but that was not a problem. MCGC had decent rental clubs for a nominal price. The green fees were reasonable, and I enjoyed a great round of golf. I Plan on playing again this December (04)

Local Player Rates Course, Mar 09, 2004
reviewer: S. Lynch from Bradenton, FL
Nice course for any level player. Challanging holes with water and traps to navigate. Does have a lot of winter play as do all courses but grass, greens, tees, are usually well maintained and very playable. Only issues are the aroma from water treatment plant. Does not bother me and it only lasts a couple holes and only if the wind blows the right way. Other issue is that there are not enough carts particularly for twilight play. You pay $27 to play between 2:00-3:00 but may not get a cart until after 3:00 at which time the rates go down again. Unfortuantly, you don't get the further discounted rate.
