Forest Park Golf CourseJohn Stelle Dr Brazil, IN 47834 Phone: (812)442-5681
This course is primarily flat, fairly well bunkered, and tree lined. The signature hole is #1, a 407-yard, par 4, requiring a lengthy tee shot, then an accurate approach shot through a narrow entrance to the elevated green.

| The front 9 is decent enough. 1 is long and straight with the ditch there to hold up a good drive. If you lay it up in front of the ditch, you will have a long mid-iron shot at the green which is on a plateau. The greens are not too fast so keeping the ball up there is not difficult if you are a lower handicap player. Hole 2 is an insanely short par 3 with about a 30 ft drop in elevation to the green. Good chance for a birdie if you get a good tee shot. Hole 3 is a straight short par 4 with the OOB on the left. A great tee shot will let you putt for eagle. Hole 4 is kind of tough. It is hard to see the ditch from the tee and there is a dog leg that starts right where the ditch crosses the fairway. There is a bunker right in front of the green with a wall of dirt that is hard to hit out of. Hole 5 is a flat, straight par 3 but hard to birdie. Hole 6 is long and straight. Two strong shots to get on a green that is kind of tricky. Hole 7 is long and crosses a ditch long ways. You can play either side of the ditch but sticking to the right might be the best move. Hole 8 is a short par 4 and an easy chance at a birdie. Hole 9 has a slight dogleg but it is long. The green is raised up a few feet so its a little tough to land on with a long shot. The back is just bad. |
