This Scottish links-style course starts both nines off with holes that play downhill and into a prevailing wind. Holes #2 and #12 have extremely large greens, so lagging your first putt may be more appropriate than trying to sink it. The course is surrounded by a park reservation, so if you hit off the fairway and through the rough, you'll find yourself deep into the woods. In addition, water hazards (a pond and creeks) come into play on six holes. "Golf Digest" once rated this course as one of the top seventy-five public courses in America. "Cranes Cleveland Business News" also rated it as one of the top courses in the state. This is one of the six municipal courses operated by the Cleveland Metroparks. Tee times must be reserved before noon. If you call before that time you will be asked to call back.

Scenic and challenging, for a novice, Oct 08, 2004 |

| Sleeping Hollow, when I played it, was scenic. The rolling hills, woods, and flowers made the course delightful to the eye. Some of the fairways were tight, lined with woods...to which I donated a few balls. Play was very slow on the early Saturday afternoon in July. Greens were decent for a public course. Sleepy Hollow was all-around a nice course to play. |

| Anyone who happens to stumble upon Brecksville will descover our little secret, Sleepy Hollow. For the price, there are very few golf experiences available in the United States! |
