This flat course's fairways afford generous landing areas, so don't be scared to break out the driver. Water hazards come into play on a number of holes, and many of the fairways are tree lined. The signature hole is #18, a 190-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to a small green. Tee times are only reserved for the weekends.

Although the course has improved dramatically over the years, it is still burdened with its poor history. It has nine holes that go around the outside of the original nine to make eighteen. The par 5s are short and the fairway conditions are not very favorable. The only real challenge to this course is for someone who has a dramatic hook (right handers) because every hole on the front nine is out of bounds to the left with corn fields.

Sprig is a really good golf course for the average golfer. Off the tee is pretty open and greens are slow and very easy to read.

This course changes as you go from hole to hole. There is a nice mix of 3-4-5 par holes and varies from wide fairways to almost no fairway. The greens are either flat or hill(s). I find divites on almost every green and branches and corn stalks from the near by farm and all over the course. You can count on the wind to effect your game.
