A walk in the park, Oct 12, 2005

My golf group played Glen Cannon as part of a mountain golf weekend recently. The golf staff and grill ladies were great and the course was really enjoyable. We played 18 before lunch and 18 more afterwards and the staff could not have been more accomodating. The feel of the course is as if you are in a park. A creek runs through many of the holes or is parallel to the fairways. Nice waterfall is a backdrop to par 3,No. 2. Unique front nine in that the first four holes are par 5's and par 3's. You finish that side with five straight par 4's. Keep in mind this is not a mountain course. You are in the valley with few elevation changes.
