This excellent course is well maintained. The fairways are wide open, and the large greens are fast and firm. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 9th "Best in State" course for the years 1995 through 1998, and in the category of "America's 100 Greatest Courses," they ranked it 65th for 1997-98. In addition, "GOLFWEEK" selected it the 27th among "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1997, 47th for 1998 and 40th for 1999. "GOLF Magazine" also selected it 97th among the "Top 100 Courses in the U.S." for 1999.

What is there to say. The course plays to it's reputation. Amazing course. If you get the chance to play here, take the oppurtunity. Easily comparable to some of the other great courses in this area (i.e. Friar's Head, Shinnecock, National, Maidstone).

Bring a lot of balls, Jul 10, 2005

Very exclusive, very well maintained. I played on a beautiful summer Sunday, and there were about 4 groups on the course (one of which consisted of Nick Price). The greens are like glass and if you're not in the fairway, or first cut, chances are you wont find your ball. To me, the course is almost identical to Shinnecock.
