Average course with poor service, Jul 28, 2008

The course is average in every way except service. Maintenance is average, difficulty level is average and the bar/resturant are average. The price for all this middle of the road performance is not bad however and would make it worth a stop if only the service was better. From the kid manning the drop off and parking golf carts and through the course and into the resturant the staff were all less then helpful and borderline rude when asked a question. The only person that did not seemed troubled by guests "invading" their precious time was the starter that willingly answered any question this first timer had about the course.

I was very lucky to be able to play this private track. I would highly recommend this course if you are ever able to get the invite. The clubhouse is what you would expect at a private gated community, large and splendid. But the true beauty is the 18 holes of pure bliss. The course slips and slides through some amazing terrain and it is a shot makers course. You can enjoy this course at any handicap because of the many tee options but if you are feeling bold, take a few steps back and take on the whole course. This course offers alot to the average golfer but like I said, If you get the chance to play it don't pass it up.This is a top 3 course on the grand strand but because it is private not many people get the honor of playing this amazing golf course.

Rams Hill Country Club
"Rams Hill Course Outstanding"
This course plays extremely well. Not only is this a beautiful course in every sense of the word, it is set in a most unique place - completely surrounded by the Anza Borrego Desert State Park (nation's largest state park). Two of my favorite holes on the course are the 14th and 18th. Both Fairways provide a challenge with a view. All and all a very nice experience. The Country Club also provides excellent vacation rental opportunities during the golfing experience at www.ramshill.org So get yourself out to Rams Hill - you won't want to leave.
