What is Scot Sherman doing these days?, Feb 23, 2011 |
| reviewer: Mike Walker, Golf Magazine
from USA |
| Scot Sherman is a very personable, first class gentleman. He is what all other aspiring Golf Course Architects should look up to when trying to make it the industry. His work speaks for itself and he basically ran Bobby Weed Golf Design for 10 of his 14 years there. I met Scot a few years back at Pete Dye's Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Does anyone know what Scot is doing these days? I heard from a few people that he is building a fantastic golf course in Austria with European Tour Player and the well respected Anders Forsbrand. I guarantee this will be a course you will want to play. Also, I heard he was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the World Junior Golf Series/Foundation. Its confirmed here http://www.wjgs.org/content/e64/e224/index_eng.html Scot, if your out there, we are all routing for you in the golf business. We can't wait to play on your next masterpiece! |

Scott Sherman Golf Courses, Jan 28, 2008 |
| reviewer: Anthony Spina

| I agree with the previous post wholeheartedly. Scott Sherman is the finest up and coming golf course designer in the country. I have played several of his courses and have always enjoyed the heck out of them! It is amazing to me that a person with this sort of unique talent is still virtually unknown to the public. Not for long in my opinion. Scott Sherman Golf will be around for a long, long time. |

Scot Sherman is one of the best! What an astounding design., Aug 19, 2007 |

| Scot Sherman, who is the senior cheif designer for Bobby Weed golf design is, in a lot of peoples opinion, one of the best. This guy needs to be doing his own work or maybe even doing designs for big name PGA Tour players like Tiger Woods new design company. Not taking anything away from Mr. Weed, but in my personal opinion, Scot Sherman has done wonders for Bobby Weed design. Everything he puts his hands on is done to perfection. Renovations, re-designs, new courses, whatever it may be, I truly havn't seen much that could compare. From doing some research on Scot Sherman, I believe he learned a lot and worked for the Dye family. Anyway, just wait and see, you are going to hear a lot more about Scot Sherman and his amazing courses in the very near future! |

Comments from the North, Jul 19, 2004 |

| I thoroughly enjoyed the course which is well thought out and challenging. Good shots are rewarded and not so good shots suitably punish the player. The practice area is a special treat with good markings, good sight lines and excellent facilities to work on the short game. Also of note and deserving of a compliment is the quality and consideration of the staff. Throughout the Club one feels most welcome and special. Of particular note is the knowledge and friendliness of the caddy crew --- they were just great. Thanks for the opportunity of enjoying your course. |

Next best thing to Augusta, Jun 25, 2004 |

| Caddies are great. Course is fair if played as intended but has teeth for shots that go astray! Each tee shot demands through thought. Greens are immaculate and have subtle and monster breaks. Excellent practice facility. Staff out of this world. |
