This links-style course is quite enjoyable to play. The fairways are wide open, and the greens are quick and medium to large in size. Water hazards (a stream and two man-made ponds) come into play several times. The signature hole is #7, a 455-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot over water and up a dogleg fairway, then an approach shot over water to the green.

nice layout with creek and zoysia fairways, Jun 17, 2004
reviewer: Joe MacFarlane from Woodbridge VA
Zoysia fairways are a pleasure to hit off of. Creek works its way through numerous holes. Greens are pretty flat with very few undulations. Placement and distance control crucial to scoring well. 18th hole one of the great challenges of golf in the area, few pars are had. I have never seen or heard of a birdie on this tough hole. Easy looking but sneaky hard par 3's. Driver not needed when playing from the white tees (not recommended) a better test of golf from the blues. Only real men need play the black tees.

I LIKE THIS COURSE A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, May 11, 2004
reviewer: Matt from Bristow, VA USA
Bristow manor golf club is a very nice place and I think that the golf course is a really well layed out course. I like the fact that the greens are medium to large in size and that they run a little faster than most greens because that makes you develop a sence of touch while you are on the greens. The course is sloped a lot but that adds a bit of a challenge to the course when you play. I like the fact that when you play at this course you have to make yourself avoid the hazards or you will shoot a high scoring round.
