This well-maintained course has narrow, tree-lined fairways and small, fast, undulating greens. The terrain is rolling, and water comes into play on some holes. The course was the site of the first PGA Championship held in 1916. The club renovated its back nine from September, 1996, to May, 1997, and its front nine from September, 1997, to May, 1998.

A great course with well maintained fairways, and beautiful greens. This course features many different types holes, some with approaches over water, and others with tight fairways off the tee. A great place for a business get together, because it is challenging, but not impossible to play. Great practice facilities.

This course is tight but fair and a lot of fun to play. Every time you play it you feel like you have come across a new challenge. The greens are lightening fast and the course itself in in pristine condition at all times. I highly recommend this course, it is a star below courses like Winged Foot.

"Good course, has all the basics, soon to be a hidden jewel"
I played here twice so far. The fairways were in pretty good shape. They recently hired a new superintendent from Charlotte National (Dino) who produces some of the best greens in Charlotte. With a little time, he will have those greens rolling right. He has already started re-doing all the bunkers. Some walks from green to the next tee would be impossible to make. It has some beautiful holes. Most bunkers did not have enough sand in them, but they're being re-worked now with some getting all new drainage and sand and some being filled in as grass bunkers. This will make it a fairer course.
