Unexpected delight, Jul 26, 2004

Coming from Pensacola, I am used to spending $30 - $50 for a round of golf. Imagine my surprise when the pro shop attendant told me $15 included greens fees and a cart (we started after 12pm) for as many holes as we wanted to play! This course was equivalent to Marcus Pointe in Pensacola and comparable to the Moors in Milton, neither of which you can get near for that price. On Saturday morning, it was still only $20 and we got on right away without a tee time! The tees, fairways, and greens were in excellent shape (we played in July). Most courses at home are experiencing some sort of problem this time of year...This is a challenging little golf course and an excellent value for the money. There is a lot of OB so you must keep it in play, the rough can be US Open tough as well. The only downside I can express is that the greens were a little on the slow side. There are way too many positives (Cost, condition, layout, access, etc.) to let slow greens bring down my rating though. If you are anywhere nearby, this course is a must.
