This course was built on rolling hills, and several oak trees and water hazards come into play. The greens are small and fast. There is an additional set of men's tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

| Mere Point GC - This is a 9-hole course with two tee set-ups, such that the front and back 9's really do play differently. * Holes 1/10 are 518/495 yd par and gets your attention right off the bat. * Holes 2/11 are 378/316 yd par 4 with dog leg left. * Holes 3/12 are 376 yds with blind tee shot over hill * Holes 4/13 are uphill 149/125 yd par 3 that plays longer than it looks. * Holes 5/14 are all uphill 334/345 yd par 4 with a tough sloped green. * Holes 6/15 are a 432/485 yd par 4/5. #6 is the #2 handicap hole and #15 has a long tee shot over the entry road. * Holes 7/16 are 353/370 yd par 4 with 90 degree dogleg right. * Holes 8/17 are 143/154 yd par 3 over a pond with a sloped 2-level green. * Holes 9/18 are 479/420 yd par 5/4. #18 is the #1 handicap hole for a challenging end to your round, but I think #6 is actually a little tougher.
I play this course often, being retired military. I think you will find it a challenge. End the day with a brew and the best burger in Maine at Lou's Grill. |
