Great Layout, Apr 14, 2005

A shotmakers course, front nine is a traditional old style layout with plenty of trees and water. The back side opens up more but don't be lulled to sleep. It's hard to find a flat lie in the fairways and greens have plenty of slope and undulations. A must play for the serious golfer

very challenging front nine, back nine more conducive to scoring. Nice fairway's and lighting fast greens, almost nothing flat on any of the greens. Better bring your A-Game with your putter.

Hilltop Golf Course
"TOUGH GREENS"
I live in the neighborhood so, I've played it many times. Very nice course. Be in shape if you're gonna walk it, though, it isn't called Hilltop for nuthin! Competitive rates, great conditon. These greens are TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUFF. They're fun though, as is the whole course. Lotta trees lining the fairways, so you gotta keep it straight. Not a lot of water comes into play, just a few holes.

Spring Valley Country Club
"Challenging course"
Spring Valley is an older club that recently upgraded the course layout. They changed 3 or 4 holes in the last few years. The course has no housing development on it and includes several holes that require specific tee shot placement. A good deal of wooded area surrounds the course and water does come into play on several holes. The clubhouse is typical country club and I suggest the prime rib. Outstanding.

Oakdale Country Club
"Wow........"
I have a membership at Oakdale and let me tell you, it's worth it. The courses rolling hills and steep inclines make it a tough challenge. The bunkers and the water hazards are also huge barriers to overcome on this course. You can't beat the price either. My membership paid for itself in a matter of weeks and after that I was practically playing for free. I strongly advise anyone that wants an enjoyable round of golf to check out Oakdale Country Club.
