This community course practices the honor system for paying green fees. It is a regulation nine hole course without any sand bunkers, but there is a creek that comes into play on two holes. The average-sized greens are slightly undulating, and the terrain is rolling. There are numerous trees scattered throughout the course that can affect your shots. Green fees indicated are for all-day play.

Sand traps,hah!, May 13, 2004

If this course had sand traps,it would rank with the best of them. The layout is very good with the creeks and the trees, bermuda fairways and smaller than average bentgrass greens,that are fantastic! I highly recommend this track to play.

I'm on the Tecumseh High School golf team and Sugar Isle is our home course, its one the of the best courses in the area. We play all kinds of courses around this area and from the experiences I've had i think its one of the best. Its fairways are usually in pretty good shape and the greens are always in great shape, its not the best course to play on right after a big rain though because of all the rolling hills it doesnt drain water too well. I'd say its a challenge for the intermediate player and on some days even the advanced.
