This course, located on a Federal Game Reserve, features bobcats and deer as their main residents. The greens are small and very fast. The fairways have a lot of beautiful scenery. William F. Bell, William P. Bell and Robert Muir Graves have done redesigns on this course. There is a special discount for nine holes before 7 AM and after 5 PM, at the discretion of the starter. Green fees were not available for publication due to the fact that fees tend to change depending on the time of year you are playing.

This beautiful course plays a little tougher than the rating shows. While not too long, you'll get lots of opportunities to practice uphill, downhill and sidehill lies, and the uphill-downhill walk is a good workout. The approach to the uphill 5th green is a challenge; the reward is the view from the par four 6th tee. You feel like you can hit a drive that goes forever, and way, way below you is the green. Lots of work has been done to improve drainage, but it can still get pretty sloppy during the winter. Friendly staff, nice driving range, putting green and bar/restaurant. Bargain green fees for senior citizens (60+) after 11 am Monday thru Wednesday.

"New golfer playing late afternoon"
Have played over 15 times in last two months. Newer player and have had a great time playing. The staff is the best.......... I play after 3:00 pm Jan-Mar. Iron only driving range and good putting green. I have been able to build up for my handycap.

Sleepy Hollow Country Club - Eighteen Hole Course

As a Brit abroad, I was lucky enough to receive a couple of invitations to play here. The whole experience was outstanding, from the service at the club to the course itself. The clubhouse is one of the more impressive around (probably only improved upon by my home course in the UK!). The track itself was in excellent condition and, as with other Tillinghast courses, was a good strategic challenge, although not as 'man-sized' as say Winged Foot West and Bethpage Black. More playable for someone of my ability and therefore perhaps as enjoyable.

"Beautiful and challenging old-style course"
This a beautiful, scenic golf course which will challenge every golfer, regardless of handicap. The maturity of this course, which includes huge oak trees and large shade trees, gives the impression of walking in a park, with the added enjoyment of playing golf. Even though the length of the course is short by modern standards, that is where the challenge lies. Drives must be accurate, and pitch shots precise. The greens are deceptive and fast, and are well-bunkered. The clubhouse is very well-planned, with great views of the course from the men's lounge and dining room areas. The men's locker room has been remodeled, and I guarantee that Luis, the locker room chief, will never forget your name. He is a wonder. One golfing visit to this club will make you wish you could live in the area so that you could apply for membership -- it is a memorable golfing experience.

Clear Creek Golf Club
"Best Par 3 Course Ever"
It really makes you work on your short game. If you need help with your wedges this is the place to be. There are some really long par 3 holes up to 200 yards. It is deep in the woods and has some narrow fairways. I give it 5 stars for being challenging and fun.
