This course for only being 6500 form the tips plays much longer with a number of holes where you are forced to lay up or full carry to the greens. The course has some very tight driving holes that put a premium on accuracy with some of the most beautiful views moving up and down the river bluff you can see in the area. That being said lets talk about the greens, mid to large size incredible smooth and FAST with plenty of spots to place the pin that would make even the most experienced golfer grind. If this course was lengthen 400 to 500 yds it would be championship caliber. Treat yourself if you can!

Piney Valley Golf Course
"Not too bad"
This golf course offers an exersise of the mental game and practice on accuracy. This course is one of the nicest in the area. The front nine offers chances to let loose and holes to decide what club to hit. The back nine is more flat yet a bit more difficult due to the mind set of trying to reach in two. This course is not a five because easyness and choices of veggitation and is not a four because of it being on a military base ( security check gates) however for someone who doesn't want to travel an hour or two away its nothing to complain about.

"Best Course in WNY"
Not an overly long course, it rewards accuracy off the tee and penalizes errant strokes. The greens are fast and true, and generally break less than one would imagine. The front nine is deceptive, punishing anyone who strays off the tree-lined fairways. The back nine can be attacked, but the sightlines off the tees can intimidate the first time player. Use long irons from the tee to keep the ball in play(only if they are are a strength in your game), and you will be surprised with the result. Putting is the primary key to scoring on this picturesque layout.

Lake Chabot Municipal Golf Course - Short Course
"Great views/not so great greens"
This is a great little par 3 course with some awesome views of the bay at an elevated tee (4th hole) The greens are covered with clover and are very fast. This is the best par 3 course I've played (only played a few) especially costing only $8.

Winter Springs Golf Club
"Winter Springs Wetlands"
This course is challenging because your lie had better be in the fairway or you'll most likely be looking for it in some form of casual water or very thick rough. The fairways were either overly-tight, negelected, outright wet, or all three. The greens are a muddy, slow-medium to slow speed with only a fair amount of undulation. The par 3 greens are almost all too large and too flat to be much fun. I've played WPGC twice and didn't really enjoy the experience because of all the standing water in the rough and on the fairways. I'm rating the course at 2 stars only because they have reliable and frequent refreshment cart service.
