Good golf course, Apr 02, 2004

This is a great golf course for the beginner golfer. The course presents some difficulty for the better than average golfer as well. This is a well maintained public course at a great value. The course can be challenging when the wind blows. Great course.

Arroyo Seco Golf Course
"Pretty Good Par 3"
This is a good course to tune up your short irons. It's pretty well maintained (the tees are mats however). Most holes are about 130 yards or so with a pond coming into play on a couple holes. There are no sand traps, but there is a stream that runs through the course as well as many trees. It's a good course to play after work, with your family, or when you don't want to play a full golf course.

Indian Creek Golf Course - Red Feather/Blackbird Course
"Enjoy"
The course is well maintained and the greens are fast and contoured. The back tees play over 7,000 yards long. Green fees are a little pricey. Red Feather and Blackbird are far more difficult than Grey Hawk. Grey Hawk is shorter and more forgiving. Blackbird is very long and the topography is hilly. Red Feather is the flattest of the 3 nines, but it is very tight and water does come into play. Most greens have lots of roll to them and require well placed shots in order to score well. The course was enjoyable to play.

I only have one complaint about this course, and that is that it is to wide. Putts do not break on this course either. It does not matter how much the green looks like it will break it does only slightly.

What a treat! This place is a gold mine in the middle of nowhere--although just 40 min. from Greensboro. Love it!
