Excellent fairways, Sep 25, 2009

Since the fellow who used to be at Arrowhead took over this course the fairways are the best in the area, in my opinion, for a reasonably priced course. I think it is very interesting to play, a good looking course. The fairways are soft and lush, but not fragile. No bunkers may bother some but the good fairways let me really excercise my iron game.

Shamrock is a great golf course, I am a beginner golfer. This is where I have practiced and am learning to play. The folks at Shamrock are very knowledgable and helpful. I would recommend this course to ALL. By the way the hot dogs are GREAT!!!

This course offers a bit of everything. It has had many improvements over the past year, greens are nice, fairways are green(even in this heat) and you play all of your clubs.

Antelope Hills Golf Course
"Diamond in the rough"
In July, 2003 I had the chance to try out this little 9 hole course and I was very satisfied with my experience. The fairways were in tremendous condition and the greens offered a perfect putting surface. We could hear the coyotes howling as we started our round in the morning. The peacefulness alone (my wife and I were the only people on the course) was worth the price of green fees. The green fees, by the way, are very reasonable. The scenery from the first tee is spectacular, especially if you glance to the west. If you're looking for a tough challenge, this isn't the course for you. The course is not too challenging but is a perfect stop if you're a beginner or coming out of Yellowstone and want to just relax on the course. It's very wide open so you shouldn't lose any balls. My wife is a beginner golfer and had a very enjoyable round. Everything is well-maintained and we found the staff to be courteous and friendly. I plan on returning to play this course again and I highly recommend you give it a try. Definitely a course to walk (not ride) to get the full enjoyment.

"Excellent Greens"
Found course to be very challenging. Greens were the best I have ever played on. Some areas on course under repair with new irrigation system, but that will only improve the fairways. Look forward to playing the course in the future.

River Park Golf Course
"Under estimated"
River Park Golf Course is an amazing asset to the small town of Mackay ID. Many people including myself under estimated this golf course. When I arrived at the course I felt like I was too good of a golfer for a course like River Park but I was completely caught off guard. The narrow fairways, small quick greens and water hazards made it impossible for me to come close to paring the course the first few times. If you want a golfing challenge visit this wonderful course, where you will also be treated with genuine hospitality.
