  "Nice Layout"
  Course is well laid out, no worry of hitting into or being hit by other fairways. Golf community with housing that doesn't inhibit play. Bent grass greens are small, but fast and true. Traps need work. Rolling terrain provides challenge. Water hazards on about half the holes. Pretty course.

  "Great Starter Course"
  Nice Range, a great Par three Chip and Putt, if you don't have time for a full game. Very helpful staff. This is a true family center. Full Course you can learn on and still have fun, nice Chip and Putt and mini-golf for the kids. A fair price for the working man. No I don't own the place.

  "what about the greens"
  What makes river forest a difficult course is their greens.They can put the pin placements where it is possible to three and four putt greens even if you play it everyday.Slopping greens make every putt a challenge. They also have added a water hazard to #3 making it impossible to reach in 2.With the addition of new tee boxes and several holes with where you can knock it OB good luck for all you 10 handicappers to try and break 90 on you first couple rounds.

  "Great course for a Muni!"
  A somewhat easy course that winds around the San Joaquin River and is beautiful and lush. Many elevation changes adds a challenge, but several par 3's give you the chance to get back in the game. Great course!
