This very scenic course is home for an abundance of wildlife including geese, raccoons, and deer. The greens vary in size, and there are ponds that come into play at least three times. The most scenic hole is #16, a 155-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over one of the ponds. Almost all the fairways are tree lined. Gary Baird redesigned this course in 1989.

This is probably one of the best courses I have ever played. It is way out in the country and it is very peaceful. The beauty of this course is amazing. I recommend going and playing it.

Griffith Park Golf Courses - Wilson Course
"wonderful"
wonderful greens and fairways, every hole was definitely unique and fairly challenging. We were able to find an opening to play on the course on a busy day without making a reservation. Allowed us to bring a spectator, with a price of course. Played both courses and would definitely come back. The only set-back was...there wasn't a beverage cart in sight and the play was pretty slow, had to wait for other players. Overall experience was great and would recommend to others.

"Frosty Valley"
Frosty Valley is a golf course that gives a feeling of success in all parts of your game. Strategic pin locations give each shot to the green a different spin, and makes even the best person's short game be tested. As for the far hitters, the par 5's here are among far distances and have challenging obsticles just off to the side of the fairways, forcing you to hit with immense precision. The greens have tough breaks in them, making this course exciting and a fun place to visit. Frosty Valley also has a pro shop with a great amount of equipment that will suit any golfer.

Boundary Oak Golf Course
"Not kept up to its potential"
This is my childhood course where I learned the game, so naturally I may have a little favorable bias. I'm disappointed with what appears to be permanent "temporary" greens. When are they going to finally fix them, and why should they charge full price until they are fixed? Until then, I'd recommend Blue Rock Springs in Vallejo, Franklin Canyon off Hwy 4, Delta View in Pittsburg, or Lone Tree in Antioch. Boundary Oak is a beautiful setting though, for those who enjoy viewing the surroundings before making a shot, just as the presentation of a fine meal seems to add to the taste just before devouring it. The layout also provides for some fun shots-- nice elevation changes and you'll use most of the clubs in your bag.
