Signature Hole, Aug 12, 2005

If they list #3 as their signature hole, then obviously, they haven't played #18. Number 18 is a par 3 that measures around 200 yds, from the blues. Your shot must negotiate a lake from about 30 yds all the way down the left to the green. The right side is a tree-line. The green is a peninsula protected by the lake on the left, and a sand bunker on the right. There is a small bail-out area for the weak-kneed.

This course is a hidden gem. With new construction to the course, it makes it one of the best in the region. I will honestly say within two years it WILL be the best in all of the tristate region. The greens are kept in superb condition. A course that you will end up playing every club in your bag.

Oak Park Country Club

This is a very nice course to play on. Not the most difficult course you will ever see, but it does have its moments. There is plenty of water and bunkers to keep any golfer busy. Also, the last four holes make the course very challegning. Holes 15 and 16 are the two of the longest par fives on the course. They are followed by the longest par 3 and the you finish of the round with the longest par 4 of the course. The scenery is definetly great, as is the atomosphere. Also, there is a state-of-the-art range and chipping green that could compete with any other clubs.

Golf Club at Cimarron Trails, The
"My review"
Cimarron Trails is one of the most challenging and exciting courses I have played in my lifetime of golfing. I would recommend this course to any serious and/or just weekend golfers. The first minte entering the spetacular and spacious clubhouse you get a feeling of something special happening. It smells like golf and it is golf incarnate. If you do one thing in your life as a golfer it should be to play at least one round at Cimarron Trails. Regards, Hugh
